Touch Of Love Home Health Care Inc in Indianapolis, IN is looking for one home health scheduler to join team. We are located on 6919

- Ensure bi‑monthly eligibility reviews are conducted and necessary authorizations are obtained.
- Assure that client requests for services are staffed according to the needs identified in the Plan of Care and client preferences, ensuring adequate numbers of staff are available.
- Ensure all cases are staffed per schedule.
- Inform clients and appropriate staff of the schedule utilization.
- Fill new clients’ service needs within established time frames.
- Monitor staff availability and hiring needs.
- Respond to ill/absent calls and provide coverage appropriately.
- Participate in the evaluation and performance review of direct care staff.
- Participate in hiring decisions for the coordination unit.
- Train new coordinators and provide training and mentoring in areas of developmental need.
- Complete scheduled performance reviews.
- Supervise coordination staff to ensure effective, timely responses to Touch of Love client needs.
- Develop work schedules for coordinator staff, including on‑call responsibilities.
- Assure that paperwork/data entry is completed accurately and timely.
- Communicate staff needs to supervisors regularly and as needed to ensure adequate levels of available staff.
- Collaborate with the Intake Coordinator to ensure staff availability for new client intake.
- Participate and communicate with other departments and individuals to ensure Touch of Love tasks are accomplished (billing, payroll, information systems).
- Maintain daily logs (manual or computer).
- Keep schedules current and employee/client data updated.
- Compile required statistics and submit written reports as required.
- Respect the confidentiality of information in client and employee records.
- Share information in accordance with Touch of Love policy and HIPAA guidelines.
- Protect written confidential documents in a manner that prevents unauthorized access.
- Ensure the implementation of confidentiality requirements by all office and on‑call coordinators.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state, federal, CHAP, and Joint Commission standards.
- Attend meetings and educational programs as required.
- Accept responsibility for personal and professional development and identify learning/developmental needs.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
- High school graduate, college degree preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in staffing or related field, preferably including home care.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Experience in a health care setting and knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well with people.
- Demonstrates organization and time management skills.
- Speaks, writes, reads, and understands English.
- Proficient in mathematical skills.
- Demonstrates skills in organization, problem‑solving, decision‑making, conflict resolution, and the ability to work independently.
- Personal computer and data entry skills.
