The Office of Judicial Administration is responsible for the efficient administration of all agencies that operate under the direction of the Chief Justice and the Supreme Court. That includes 200 personnel; fiscal management; communication; technology; legal services; intergovernmental relations; services for the trial courts; and support for court boards, commissions, and committees. The Office is headed by Interim Chief Administrative Officer Aaron Hood, who reports directly to the Chief Justice of Indiana and serves as the link between the Chief Justice and the agencies of the Court.

Salary:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $65,000 but may be commensurate with education and/or experience.

About The Job

The Program Coordinator supports the planning, implementation, and daily operations of behavioral health programs within the Office of Behavioral Health. This position combines programmatic development and implementation with administrative coordination responsibilities, ensuring that program activities, documentation, scheduling, communications, and operational processes run efficiently and office initiatives are supported. The Program Coordinator works closely with internal staff, community partners, and trial courts to advance behavioral health initiatives and support the overall functioning of the office.

A

Day In The Life Program Development & Administration
  • Assist in the development and implementation of programmatic initiatives of the Office of Behavioral Health.
  • Build and sustain resources and tools at the intersection of behavioral health and the justice system.
  • Support strategic planning activities, program evaluations, and needs assessments.
  • Track program milestones, deliverables, and deadlines; maintain organized documentation.
  • Prepare program materials, reports, presentations, and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as a liaison between the Office of Behavioral Health, community partners, service providers, and other state/local entities.
  • Field inquiries and provide appropriate guidance on matters of behavioral health and the justice system to judicial officers, court staff, and other justice system stakeholders.
  • Deliver education on the Office of Behavioral Health’s initiatives and priorities to justice system and behavioral health professionals.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, trainings, webinars, and outreach events.
Administrative Coordination
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics for program staff, committees, and work groups.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and ensure follow-up on action items.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Office inquiries, routing information to appropriate staff.
  • Maintain office systems such as filing, recordkeeping, supply management, and shared drives.
  • Draft and proofread correspondence, memos, and official communications.
Compliance & Reporting
  • Monitor and apply for applicable funding opportunities to support office initiatives.
  • Monitor adherence to federal, state, and agency policies, regulations, and funding requirements.
  • Compile and analyze program data for required reports, audits, and performance measures.
  • Support quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Financial & Contract Support
  • Monitor invoices, maintain financial documentation, and support budget tracking activities.
  • Ensure program spending aligns with funding requirements and allowable cost guidelines.
Data & Evaluation
  • Collect, organize, and maintain program data in databases or tracking systems.
  • Support the creation of dashboards, metrics, and evaluation tools to measure program outcomes.
  • Provide meaningful data summaries and recommendations for program improvements.
