Job Description:
We are delighted to be supporting our financial services client in the search for a Front of House Assistant to join their Edinburgh office on a permanent basis.
In this varied role you will act as the first point of contact, providing professional reception services including greeting clients and staff, managing calls via Microsoft Teams, as well as supporting the office manager with facilities and general tasks related to the day to day running of the Edinburgh office.

Skills/Experience:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
- A professional, approachable and customer‑focused manner.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Flexibility, reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Previous experience in a reception, front‑of‑house or office support environment would be advantageous.
- Experience operating a switchboard would be beneficial.
- Provide a professional and friendly reception service, welcoming visitors and staff.
- Manage incoming calls and direct enquiries efficiently.
- Coordinate visitor sign‑in procedures and maintain a positive front‑of‑house experience.
- Manage meeting room bookings and ensure rooms are prepared for meetings and events.
- Set up and clear meeting spaces, including reconfiguring room layouts where required.
- Handle incoming and outgoing post and courier deliveries.
- Monitor and order office stationery and supplies.
- Coordinate deliveries and maintain general office facilities.
- Support records management, filing and archiving processes.
- Assist with invoicing and administrative tasks.
- Support health and safety processes, including inductions and workstation assessments.
- Maintain high standards throughout reception, meeting rooms and communal office areas.
- Provide general facilities and administrative support as required.
