- Oversees Housekeeping and Laundry/ personnel.
- Interviews and hires new personnel.
- Trains and conducts orientation for Environmental Services personnel.
- Conducts evaluations.
- Prepares work schedules and manages daily coverage.
- Presents/arranges for inservice training and staff meetings.
- Implements disciplinary action as applicable.
- Prepares Employee Status Reports.
- Approves Environmental Services time cards.
- Maintains and reviews attendance records regularly and accurately.
- Inspects all areas of the facility for cleanliness; inspects completed work for conformance to standards.
- Attends Key Staff meetings and provides input related to Environmental Services.
- Coordinates supplies for housekeeping and laundry; orders other items as requested.
- Investigates products; makes recommendations.
- Determines quantities as needed.
- Maintains adequate levels of stock.
- Manages labeling process for resident items and receiving resident items.
- Reviews invoices for accuracy and submits to Business Office for payment.
- Records orders/purchases in proper accounts.
- Maintains budget information.
- Handles resident-related items.
- Welcomes all new residents.
- Assigns resident storage lockers and maintains records.
- Receives residents’ dry-cleaning items, arranges for cleaning, and processes the invoice with the Business Office.
- Coordinates daily services interdepartmentally.
- Assists in admission, discharges, and resident moves.
- Handles residents-related items.
- Oversees department budget and ensures all work completed is within labor and supply budget parameters.
- Assists laundry and housekeeping staff with a daily assignment as a working supervisor.
Job Qualifications
- Education/Training
- High school diploma/GED equivalent required. Associate’s Degree in Supervision, Business Administration, or Environmental Science preferred, or certified as an Executive Housekeeper preferred.
- Experience
- One (1) year experience in housekeeping supervision or related field.
- Other
- Knowledge of cleaning products and materials management and maintenance.
