To provide full support to the School Counseling department including the three counselors, social worker, school psychologist, speech therapist, and other student service personnel while working collaboratively with other secretarial staff.
Essential Job Functions- Manage the complete process of enrolling and withdrawing students.
- Maintaining student permanent record files and entering data into the student database.
- Sharing documents and information with the appropriate staff members.
- Preparing letters and other documents for distribution often using the mail merge function.
- Create lists of students and pertinent information through our student database.
- Order supplies for other department personnel.
- Organize and serve at occasional after-school programs such as orientation and awards program.
- Edit the student handbook and school calendar for publication.
- Screen walk‑ins and phone calls for counselors, often giving out information and answering questions.
- Cover for other Student Service office staff as needed due to breaks or absences.
- Coordinate student workers for all offices.
- Other "office management" tasks in assisting the School Counseling Director.
Use standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copier and fax machines, calculator, and telephone.
Travel RequirementTravels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Pay Rates$16.80 per hour
Work Schedule7.5 hours per day.
205 days per year.
