Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technician specializing in transmission work to diagnose, repair, and maintain transmission systems on a variety of vehicles, with an emphasis on Chevrolet and GM models. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and replace manual and automatic transmissions
- Perform advanced diagnostics using factory scan tools and equipment
- Conduct thorough inspections and communicate findings to service advisors and customers
- Ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards for quality and safety
- Stay current with Chevrolet/GM training and certifications
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Mentor and support junior technicians as needed
- 3+ years of professional automotive technician experience with a focus on transmissions
- GM or ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality repairs
