As a Master Technician you will be joining one of the fastest growing automotive export businesses in the world at a key moment in the transformation of the automotive sector and powered by new technological changes created by state-of-the-art Research & Design. This is a very exciting role in which you will work for one of the most advanced passenger car businesses in the world and a company that has experienced stunning growth in the last 2 years.
It is the first automotive business to totally master the core technology of engine, gearbox, chassis, platform, and new energy, and now exports its manufacturing know-how globally. This role has a clear career pathway and can develop into a technical lead or multi-brand senior or director level technical operations role.
- Ensure vehicles meet the technical, quality and UK and EU regulatory requirements
- Develop production vehicles to support diagnostics, software updates, vehicle testing, product evaluation and engineering investigations.
- Perform advanced diagnostics and fault investigation on development and production vehicles.
- Identify root causes of complex vehicle issues including electrical, electronic, software and mechanical systems.
- Undertake vehicle testing, validation and product evaluation activities
- Liaise with the UK After Sales team, dealerships and field technicians to investigate and resolve technical issues
- Communicate, record and report technical findings, test results and investigation outcomes clearly to R&D and global engineering teams.
- Travel to dealerships across the UK to support technical investigations, dealership support, testing activities and engineering events
- Experience working as a Master Technician or Senior Automotive Technician.
- A background in vehicle electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
- Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and performing ECU programming / software updates.
- Knowledge of electric vehicles, hybrid powertrains or ADAS technologies (Ideally)
- Experience working with prototype or pre-production vehicles (ideally).
- Fluent spoken Mandarin would be helpful.
