Full-time Regular Administrative — Indianapolis, IN, US
Salary: $45,000.00 Annually
The purchasing coordinator is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment and services required for company operations. This role ensures timely delivery, cost control, and compliance with company policies while maintaining strong vendor relationships. Your contributions will help uphold our commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Source and evaluate vendors for quality, pricing and reliability.
- Negotiate pricing, terms and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Issue purchase order and ensure accuracy of quantities, pricing, avail, and terms.
- Track orders and follow up on Backorder, delay and discrepancies.
- Maintain documentation of orders.
- Coordinate with accounting and operational teams, update necessary team with delays.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Resolve vendor issues related to pricing, quantity, and delivery.
- Inventory reporting.
- Inventory management.
- Quarterly reports on inventory control.
- Over and shortages on inventory counts monthly basis.
- Proficiency in ERP systems.
- 2+ years of purchasing or procurement withing the industrial equipment or supply chain industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience with inventory control a plus.
