Regional Account Director
As a regional account director, you will be responsible for two of our most important customer relationships in Europe – a premium automotive and a premium truck OEM. You will act as the central interface between internal stakeholders, operational teams, and our customers, ensuring consistent, high-performance cooperation.
You will:
- Carry commercial responsibility for a Europe-wide, complex logistics and transport portfolio in the automotive sector
- Manage tender processes (RFQs), oversee quotation creation, conduct contract negotiations, and ensure successful contract renewals
- Develop strategic growth approaches for new services and markets in collaboration with operations, and actively drive their implementation
- Jointly manage internal teams (e.g., account management, business development) with the global account director, taking on a clear leadership role in our matrix organization
- Build sustainable, trustworthy relationships – from the operational level to the C-suite, both internally and externally
- Address sensitive issues discreetly, efficiently, with a strong sense and clear decision-making ability
- Keep KPIs, potentials, and processes in sight at all times, recognize risks early, and proactively develop creative, viable solutions
- Work closely with functions such as IT, finance, HR, and legal, consistently representing the interests of our customers
- Deeply understand the business models, decision-making processes, and challenges of your customers, anticipating their needs proactively
- Act as a convincing ambassador for DP World – with charisma, trustworthiness, and content strength
You bring:
- A completed degree in logistics, business administration, or a comparable field
- At least 10 years of experience in contract logistics, transport, or forwarding, with an automotive focus
- Experience in successfully managing large accounts or in complex sales structures
- A structured, analytical mindset and a hands-on approach
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills – in German and English
- Flexibility and willingness to travel (approx. 30–60%, depending on place of residence)
- Proficiency in MS Office and common CRM systems
