Summary

The Post Doctoral Scholar will report to Assistant Professor Martina Leveni and will support research initiatives related to geothermal reservoir modeling and geospatial analysis. Responsibilities include developing stochastic reservoir models, conducting geospatial analyses of geothermal resources, and managing geospatial datasets and databases. The individual will also mentor graduate and undergraduate students, collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams, and contribute to publications, reports, and presentations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop stochastic reservoir models.
  • Conduct geospatial analyses of geothermal resources.
  • Manage geospatial datasets and databases.
  • Mentor graduate and undergraduate students.

  • Contribute to publications, reports, and presentations.
Required Qualifications
  • Hold a Doctorate (Academic).
  • Strong expertise in reservoir modeling, computational fluid dynamics, and related analytical methodologies.
  • Experience using geospatial analysis and mapping tools such as ArcGIS.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including Python, MATLAB, or similar platforms.
  • Experience managing and analyzing large, multi-source datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to mentor and support students in a research environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Desired Qualities
  • Highly self‑motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects across institutional partners.
Compensation

Hiring Range: $61,008 - $65,000.
