The Project Manager for the Northern Region serves as the key IEDC representative for select counties in Northern Indiana, managing economic development projects with a focus on business negotiation and stakeholder relationship-building. The role involves attracting new companies, expanding existing businesses, monitoring regional activity, and providing technical assistance to identify appropriate IEDC programs for business attraction and expansion projects.
Key qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Economic Development, Community Development, Urban Planning, Real Estate, or Business Development, or equivalent business experience
- Business background with emphasis on deal negotiation and economic development/site selection
- 1-3 years of economic development or related field experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of Indiana core industries including aerospace, manufacturing, life sciences, logistics, and IT
- Ability to negotiate complex business transactions and travel frequently within Northern Indiana region
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills with proficiency in CRM databases and Microsoft Office
