Under the guidance of the Outbound Manager, the Receiving Supervisor will oversee receiving operations, plan office production, and act as a technical resource for the team. The Receiving Supervisor will reviewinboundwaste streams.
The Receiving Supervisor ensures that all incoming waste is accurately entered into the inventory tracking system for proper management, disposal, and billing.
Utilizing their strong leadership skills, the Receiving Supervisor will ensure their staffinputall waste in compliance with Clean Earth’s policy andapplicablelocal, state, and federal regulations.
The Receiving Supervisor will coordinate regularly with Plant management to ensure safe, proper, and consistent handling of allinboundwaste.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions
Inbound
- Manage inbound waste from service centers and other waste sources, ensuring efficient and compliant operations.
- Provide insights onwaste entering inventory that require slab testing.
- Keep informed about updates in lab testing regulations and industry standards.
- Accept waste for processing, ensuring it meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintains proper documentation and manifests for waste entering facility according to State and Federal requirements.
Outbound
- Offerexpertiseon outbound shipping strategies and methods, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Direct, coach, and develop employees, ensuring they meet operational needs and compliance with company policies.
- Review Weekly and Monthly Production summaries.
- Keep informed about updates in supply management regulations and industry standards.
- Implement safety protocols and compliance measures to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory adherence.
- Stay updated on changes in cost management regulations and industry standards and provide recommendations for improvement.
Performs other related duties and/or project work as requiredor requested.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly without assistance and up to 75 pounds unassisted on occasion.
- Ability to push and pull up to 500 pounds using a pallet jack, hand truck, or other device to assist.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled environments.
- Visual acuity to read labels and documentation and sufficient depth perception to safely operate forklifts.
- Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes, alarms, and other audible safety signals.
- Ability and willingness to wear company-issued personal protection equipment (PPE), including, but not limited to, safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.
