The WFP Eastern and Southern Africa Regional Office (ESARO) is establishing a roster of qualified HR staff members for future Temporary Duty Assignments (TDYs) to support operational needs across the region. Assignments may include temporary staffing gaps, emergency response, surge support, project-based work, backstopping arrangements, or other short-term requirements.

TDY opportunities may be in-country, remote, or part-time. For part-time assignments, employees will divide their time between their regular duties and the TDY, with deliverables and work schedules agreed upon by the releasing and receiving managers.

Specific Terms of Reference, duty stations, and assignment durations will be shared when opportunities become available.

This future TDY opportunity is open to national staff who:

• Hold a position at the G6/SC6 level or above

• Staff members on fixed-term, continuing or indefinite appointment must have completed their probationary period.
• Service Contract holders must have completed a minimum period of six (6) months of satisfactory service on their current assignment.
• Have a successful or outstanding performance record and/or be confirmed following probation.
• Are available for deployment, subject to supervisor endorsement and managements approval.
