Position SummaryThe Project Management staff directs, completes, and ensures the financial success of construction projects. As a Project Engineer II, you will work closely with an experienced Project Manager and Superintendent to run projects from start to finish, developing budgets, supporting bid processes, managing subcontractor relationships, scheduling, and ensuring quality and safety on every job. You will also attend job‑site and owner meetings, contribute to company training sessions, and participate in safety meetings.
Responsibilities- Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and exceeding client needs.
- Estimate, value‑engineer, and develop project budgets.
- Facilitate the subcontractor bid process.
- Be an active participant in subcontractor relationships.
- Negotiate subcontractor and material buyout; develop and negotiate subcontracts.
- Plan and schedule projects.
- Create and manage RFIs, submittals, close‑out, and punch list processes.
- Coordinate jobs in progress, resolve conflicts, document work, and ensure quality and safety.
- Track project costs, forecast and analyze construction costs, exposures, and profits through project completion.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience with a general contractor or in the field of construction.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
