Operations Manager, Construction Manager/ Foreman
Maxwell Construction is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Concrete General Superintendent to lead our concrete field operations across all projects. This key leadership role oversees all concrete construction activities — ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional quality. WhatYou Will Do
- Lead all concrete operations across multiple projects, ensuring consistency, quality, and safety.
- Supervise and mentor foremen and field teams — building a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Schedule resources with Operations Manager, and coordinate materials, and equipment for maximum productivity and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with Operations Manager, Project Managers and field leaders to plan pours, schedules, and logistics.
- Oversee quality control from prep/placement to finishing and curing.
- Conduct pre-pour and safety meetings to set expectations and drive performance.
- Monitor daily production, job costs, and progress — reporting to senior leadership.
- Identify and implement field innovations that improve processes and outcomes.
- Serve as the go-to expert for all concrete-related operations in the field.
- 8–10 years of concrete construction experience.
- Proven ability to lead multiple crews and subcontractors on commercial or industrial projects.
- Expert knowledge of forming, placing, finishing, and curing methods.
- Ability to interpret and learn about and adjust concrete mix designs according to project goals and weather conditions to ensure appropriate application.
- Understanding of job budget tracking, scheduling, and production rates.
- Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and field layouts.
- Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work with project management and field software systems such as digital drawings and Procore.
- Dedication to jobsite safety and compliance with OSHA standards.
This position requires physical activity and 80-90% of time spent in the field. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in variable weather conditions and able to lift heavy weights consistent with forming, prepping, pouring and placing concrete. Use of PPE (hard hat, boots, safety glasses, gloves, high-visibility gear) is required.
