About Anova Position SummarySr. Construction Managers serve as the Owner’s independent technical representative, providing construction oversight and advisory support for large commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the Owner’s primary construction and technical advisor throughout design, construction, and closeout.
- Review and evaluate contractor schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and execution strategies for alignment with contract requirements and Owner objectives.
- Monitor project progress, risks, and performance, and advise the Owner on mitigation strategies and decision impacts
. - Coordinate with the Owner, designers, construction managers, and contractors to facilitate communication and issue resolution
. - Perform site observations to assess schedule status, quality conformance, and general compliance
, reporting findings to the Owner. - Review RFIs, submittals, change requests, safety programs, and quality plans, providing independent technical assessments
. - Support Owner-led change management and contractor negotiations through impact analysis and recommendations.
- Prepare and present clear project status reports covering cost, schedule, risk, quality, and safety.
- Support project closeout oversight
, including punch list review, turnover documentation, and final acceptance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of commercial construction management experience with increasing responsibility.
- Experience managing large-scale commercial projects across various markets such as healthcare, industrial, and education.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and industry best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
