SummaryThe Environmental Superintendent is the lead field manager on projects and responsible for the execution of work plans. The Environmental Superintendent is the primary interface between the hourly craft personnel, the client and the HIS office.
- Prior experience with lead contaminated, PCB contaminated, coal ash or petroleum contaminated soil remediation is required.
- The position requires significant travel, with up to 30% overnight travel. The company provides hotel and per diem expenses.
- A minimum 3 years of environmental construction experience is required.
- Direct contact between client and HIS personnel on project site.
- Ensure professional service and client satisfaction.
- Lead in establishing a safety culture for all field forces, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Execute field activities to construct the project per the plans and specifications, including quality control.
- Manage critical project information and ensure written communication to operations personnel and clients in a timely manner.
- Adhere to labor and production schedules.
- Maintain a basic understanding of contract requirements.
- Prepare and submit one-week and three-week look-ahead plans to the supervisor weekly.
- Submit all job paperwork on a weekly basis and in a timely manner.
- Complete a daily report detailing employee and equipment hours, completed quantities and other onsite activities as outlined on the standard form.
