We are working with a well established heavy civil contractor with a strong presence in asphalt paving, roadway, municipal, and commercial construction. The company has built a solid reputation for quality work, dependable project delivery, and strong client relationships across both public and private sectors.
Position SummaryOur client is seeking an Estimator / Project Manager to support projects from early budgeting and bid preparation all the way through execution and closeout. This is a well rounded role for someone who enjoys being involved throughout the full project lifecycle and is comfortable balancing estimating, client communication, and day to day project management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare takeoffs, estimates, and bid packages for civil, municipal, and commercial projects
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to develop accurate pricing and scope coverage
- Manage projects from award through completion, including cost tracking and overall coordination
- Maintain and grow client relationships while also helping identify new project opportunities
- Work closely with field superintendents to support successful project execution
- Assist with billing, collections, and general project administration as needed
- Help ensure clear communication between office, field, vendors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle
- 5+ years of experience estimating and managing DOT, municipal, or commercial construction projects preferred
- Strong understanding of specifications, bidding processes, and project management within civil construction
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and digital takeoff software
- Able to work independently and manage priorities without needing close oversight
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a construction related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience
- Engineering background with construction experience is a plus
