Overview
Spiker Safety Group has a Site Safety opening to join our team. We have opening for field safety in North Carolina and Indiana. Must have construction safety experience. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead all aspects of the safety program to ensure team members’ safety and all regulatory compliance. You will be required to balance company-wide operational complex safety regulatory interpretations into actionable instructions and development of technically accurate, standardized safety policies, standards, and programs.
Responsibilities- Provide safety leadership for construction projects including structural steel, mechanical and electrical equipment installation, etc.
- Lead daily contractor safety meetings made up of trades working on the site.
- Conduct safety audits of activities related to construction and equipment installation.
- Review JSA’s to confirm completeness and accuracy of work being performed.
- Manage, and report incidents, injury claims.
- Required – OSHA 30 Construction Industry Outreach Program
- Required – OSHA 510 Construction Industry Standards
- Required – Knowledge of applicable consensus standards i.e., NFPA 70E/CSA Z462
- Preferred – A recognized, independent third-party safety certification. Examples: CSP/ASP, SMS, CHST, STSC, CSHO, CSHT, etc.
- Preferred – OSHA 510
- Preferred – Degree in Occupational Safety, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading safety on construction projects with multiple trades.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects requiring critical thinking (kaizen), problem solving, data analysis & verification.
- Capable of developing and delivering presentations, generating effective reports, conducting applicable standards research
- Manage client’s expectations.
- Strong computer, communications, and organizational skills
Job Type: Long-term w-1099
Pay range: $130,000 - $190,000 per year
Additional pay range: $ - $ per year
