Lead Mehanical Estimator

Location: Remote from Indianapolis - Candidates must be based within commuting distance from Indianapolis, IN

Salary: Up to $130k base

A well-established Construction Manager with a strong preconstruction division delivering projects across multiple market sectors, including education. The company is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Plumbing Estimator to support detailed preconstruction and estimating efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff software
• Maintain and update historical cost databases and market pricing information
• Conduct historical cost analysis across completed projects
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors for pricing and scope information
• Provide constructability input and scope comparisons between estimate iterations
• Prepare change estimates and review contractor proposals when required
• Participate in communication with owners, architects, and engineers throughout the estimating process

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of preconstruction estimating experience in Mechanical & Plumbing Scopes.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction estimating processes
• Proficiency with Sage Estimating and On-Screen Takeoff
• Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and incomplete design information
• Strong communication and organizational skills
