Job DescriptionPCI is seeking an experienced Senior Drywall Estimator for its PCI Indianapolis 551 operations based in Carmel, IN
. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:
- Performing quantitative takeoffs on construction projects.
- Maintaining positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing.
- Soliciting subcontractor pricing for work done outside our self‑perform group.
- Understanding market conditions including competitive approach, backlog, level or risk for work and other factors for establishing margin percentages.
- Being involved in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project team.
- Participating in the customer alignment objectives of the branch by creating and maintaining positive customer relations.
- Contract administration for secured projects.
- Preparing wage and benefit schedules.
- Assisting in the hand‑off of secured projects to the Operations Team.
- Assisting in other duties as assigned such as change order management or billings depending on the project(s).
This position is safety sensitive.
Salary Range: $94,000 - $126,000 annual salary plus non‑guaranteed annualized bonus program.
Basic Requirements- At least 5-7 years of estimating construction projects.
- Experience with estimating/project management/managing drywall scopes of construction.
- Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work.
- Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.
- Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work.
- Proficiency with computer takeoff & estimating software such as On‑Screen Takeoff and Quickbid.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or Construction Management.
- Experience working with union representatives is preferred.
- OSHA Certification.
- Local to Indianapolis metro area is preferred.
