Preconstruction Manager – F.A. Wilhelm Construction

We are seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead the preconstruction phase of projects from inception to turn over to Operations. The role involves providing direction, coordinating teams, managing estimates, and ensuring client commitments are met.

• Provide direction to the estimating team to assemble accurate, complete estimates (including general and special conditions).
• Create and analyze cost models/forecasts during design development or bidding, consulting and advising clients and construction teams on findings.
• Prepare bid packages for all scopes of work, obtain and assess bids from subcontractors and vendors.
• Coordinate the assembly of preconstruction materials for presentation to owners and engineers (design development estimates, GMP booklets, etc.).
• Lead the preparation and review of trade contracts, subcontracts, and major purchase orders, checking for compliance with construction documents and estimates.
• Coordinate the transition of the project from preconstruction to field operations, verify estimates versus actual project status, and review work in place to compare experience to the estimate.

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the construction industry.
