Laborer – Transmission Line Drill Crew
Cobalt Civil is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Transmission Line Drill Crew Laborer to support foundation drilling operations on transmission line and heavy civil construction projects. This position assists drill crews with site preparation, equipment support, material handling, and general labor duties in outdoor construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist drill operators and crew members during drilling operations
- Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and drilling supplies
- Perform general labor duties including digging, cleanup, and site maintenance
- Support equipment setup, mobilization, and daily maintenance
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Work closely with crew leaders and supervisors to maintain efficient operations
- Travel Monday through Friday to project sites as required
Qualifications
- Construction or heavy civil experience preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather and terrain conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience around drilling equipment or utility construction
- CDL or equipment operation experience a plus
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
Work Environment
Outdoor construction environment with exposure to varying weather, uneven terrain, and heavy equipment. Overnight travel Monday through Friday, overtime, and occasional weekend work may be required based on project needs.
