Senior Quality Assurance PM, Mechanical – Data Center Construction
Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance PM, Mechanical to join our team in support of the Data Center Construction team. The ideal individual will have prior experience supporting large-scale construction projects. Responsibilities include managing and collaborating with project stakeholders, effective communication across the internal team, analyzing and managing critical milestone activities, verifying project governance, processes and systems, ensuring application of best practice on all projects, producing formal project status reports, monitoring the progress of multiple construction projects, managing the interface between all suppliers, managing the flow of project information between the project team, forecasting and updating key project milestones, managing and monitoring local design teams, providing technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders, rapid response to RFIs from the field, providing expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance where required, independent review of status reports, drawing submittals, timelines and costs from architects, contractors and suppliers, client management, strategic thinking, knowledge management, process improvement, and SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or applicable bachelor's degree and or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant project management experience, specifically working with mechanical systems in the built environment.
- Strong organizational and management skills – ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the broader team.
- Background working in design or construction with a mechanical or BMS controls experience.
- AND/OR Background working in vendor equipment factory supporting quality control processes of mechanical equipment.
- AND/OR Background working in commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment in mission critical data centers.
- Proficiency managing construction documents including BODs, specifications, contract drawings, C/D/E's, equipment submittals and RFIs.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, Project, Smartsheets, and other construction project management tools
