About the Role

As the Commercial HVAC Project Manager, you'll oversee every phase of commercial HVAC construction projects, from reviewing plans and preparing estimates to coordinating field operations and ensuring successful project completion. You'll work closely with customers, general contractors, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with company quality standards.

This role requires someone who can balance estimating responsibilities with project execution while maintaining strong communication throughout every stage of the project.

Key Responsibilities

Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate commercial HVAC estimates. Develop project budgets, labor forecasts, material requirements, and project schedules while coordinating equipment procurement and subcontractor pricing.

Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout by coordinating field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and general contractors. Monitor job progress, project costs, labor productivity, safety compliance, and installation quality to ensure successful project execution.

Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation while maintaining regular communication with customers and project stakeholders. Conduct jobsite visits, resolve field issues, support project scheduling, and ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.

Build long‑term relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and field personnel while supporting project turnover, warranty coordination, and overall customer satisfaction. Mentor field employees and help develop less experienced team members as the department continues to grow.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking candidates with commercial HVAC project management experience and a strong understanding of commercial mechanical construction. Previous experience estimating commercial HVAC projects, interpreting blueprints, managing project budgets, and coordinating multiple projects is required.

Successful candidates should possess strong knowledge of commercial construction processes, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, change orders, RFIs, labor planning, purchasing, and cost control. Experience managing project documentation and maintaining strong communication with customers, contractors, and internal teams is essential.
