Turner & Townsendis seeking aConstruction Estimator with CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) experience to join our talented team.
The ideal individual will be a good communicator and a team player with a good foundation in cost and estimating.
Responsibilities:- Developing cost plans and estimates fromconceptthrough detailed design.
- Supporting Client land acquisitions.
- Delivering and presenting updated cost plans at appropriate designmilestones.
- Reviewing proposed design changes/new technologies and preparing estimates with inappropriate accuracy levels.
- Understanding design stages and estimate levels.
- Providing commercial input to design optioneering and input into value engineering exercises.
- Preparing cash commit forecasts for the construction life cycle.
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders in the preparation of estimates/ cost plans.
- Analyzing labor markets and cost drivers such as unions & tax.
- Supporting our clients with monthly presentations.
- Benchmarking integration to ensureaccuratedata capture.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
- Individuals will be working as part of a team providing estimating support activities across a variety of life science sector projects and programmes.
- Preparation of benchmarking reports and development of appropriate data.
- Measurement and estimation from a firstprinciplebasis for projects at all design stages.
- Proficient in measuring using CSIMasterformat.
- Undertaking reviews of 3rd party estimates toidentifyalignment with the market and preparing reports to detail findings.
- Preparation of estimates for project change orders and review of EPCM submissions.
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing and R&D facilities
- CGMP facilities
- Various, with projects ranging in size from $50m to $1bn+
- Cost Xexperience preferred but not essential. Experience in measurement software essential.
- AACE membership or equivalent preferred but not essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying,engineeringor field related to construction.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working in a construction cost management role such as Estimating, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Cost Controls etc.
- Thrives in a client facing role.
- Experience supporting program level cost management for medium or large-scale construction projects.
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering.
- Strong communication skills.
The salary range for this full-time role is $110K - $150
Kper year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
