Senior Superintendent - Commercial Drywall

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to join our Operations team and provide leadership across our commercial construction projects.

This position is designed for a proven construction leader who understands that successful field operations require more than managing a single jobsite. The Senior Superintendent will provide oversight and support across multiple active projects, develop and mentor Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents, help coordinate field workforce and resources, and ensure our projects consistently meet expectations for safety, quality, schedule, communication, and execution.

This is a hands‑on leadership position for someone comfortable being in the field, solving problems, developing others, and working closely with Operations and Project Management to keep projects moving forward.

We're looking for someone who has spent enough time in construction to recognize problems before they become emergencies.

You know how to run a project, but you're also ready to help other Superintendents become stronger leaders. You're comfortable walking onto a challenging project, quickly understanding what is happening, developing a plan, and helping the team execute it.

You understand that leadership means setting expectations, communicating clearly, holding people accountable, and being willing to help solve problems when the field needs support.

• Provide field leadership and operational oversight across multiple active commercial construction projects.
• Support Superintendents in planning and executing daily and weekly field operations.
• Conduct regular project site visits to evaluate progress, workforce, safety, quality, coordination, and overall project conditions.
• Identify potential schedule, workforce, material, coordination, and production issues before they significantly impact the project.
• Assist with developing recovery plans when projects fall behind schedule or encounter operational challenges.
• Help coordinate field workforce and resources based on project schedules, priorities, and production requirements.
• Ensure Superintendents are effectively planning upcoming work rather than reacting to immediate jobsite conditions.
• Serve as an escalation point for significant field issues requiring additional leadership or operational support.

A major responsibility of this position is developing the next generation of field leadership. The Senior Superintendent will:

• Mentor and develop Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents.
• Provide coaching on leadership, communication, planning, documentation, quality control, and field coordination.
• Help establish consistent expectations and operating standards across the Superintendent team.
• Identify development opportunities and provide constructive feedback to field leaders.
• Assist Operations leadership with evaluating Superintendent performance and readiness for increased responsibility.
• Promote accountability while creating an environment where field leaders can ask questions, solve problems, and continue developing professionally.
• Help onboard and train newly hired or promoted Superintendents.

• Review project schedules, look‑ahead schedules, workforce requirements, and upcoming milestones.
• Work with Superintendents to establish realistic production plans and priorities.
• Verify that required workforce, materials, equipment, information, and subcontractor coordination are addressed before work is scheduled to begin.
• Monitor project progress and help identify risks that could affect schedule or production.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Operations leadership to resolve field-related issues.
• Assist with planning workforce transitions between projects.
• Ensure field teams understand project scope, sequencing, expectations, and upcoming deadlines.

• Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and accountability across all assigned projects.
• Ensure field leadership actively identifies and corrects quality issues before they become larger problems.
• Support project‑specific quality control processes, inspections, punch activities, and closeout.
• Reinforce company safety policies and jobsite requirements.
• Work with Superintendents to address recurring field deficiencies and establish corrective actions.
• Lead by example in maintaining professional, organized, and safe jobsites.

• Maintain clear communication between field leadership, Project Management, Operations, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
