Pepper Construction is looking for qualified, intelligent students with a passion for learning about the construction industry to experience life with a commercial general contractor.
You will be paired with a Project Manager and/or Superintendent on one of our construction teams. You will work directly with many aspects of project management, including but not limited to, processing submittals, take-offs, potentially preparing budgets and attending job site/owner meetings. We intend to expose you to real‑life situations in the field and in the office. You will also be involved in training sessions, jobsite tours and safety.
You will gain hands‑on experience with a reputable general contractor in the Indianapolis Area.
- Current college student entering their Sophomore, Junior or Senior year studying Construction Management or a similar discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technology
- Ability to work independently while still contributing and collaborating in a team
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Reliable transportation to and from work-related activities and assignments
- Ability and desire to work on an active construction site in central Indiana
