You'll Be Doing:
As a Construction Intern, you'll play a key role in assisting our Project Managers and Project Engineers to ensure that a full range of construction activities are completed successfully and efficiently. Construction Interns work in unison with a specific project team through various stages of an active construction project. While this position is primarily based in-office, this role will gain exposure to on-site construction activities, providing a wholistic experience of how a project team works together to complete a project.
MajorObjectives:
- Project Shadowing: Work closely with a Project Manager to understand the day-to-day responsibilities of overseeing the execution, communication, and teamwork it takes to complete a construction project.
- On-Site
Experience:
Visit construction sites and help track project progress - see how plans become reality and how challenges are managed. Traveling to your specific job site will be a part of your internship experience. - Team
Collaboration:
Support construction team with subcontractor coordination, material tracking, file management, document control, and progress reporting. - Documentation Duties: Help maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and reports - stay organized and keep everything on track.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Become proficient in Procore and assist with daily observation reports, documentation, drawing sets, submittals, and punch lists.
- Support office and on-site construction teams.
- Assist with bid analysis, schedule, scope review, and contract drafting.
- Assist in generating project reports to site team and subcontractors.
