POSITION DESCRIPTION
North United Methodist Church of Indianapolis, IN seeks a creative, inclusive, and experienced Director of Music to oversee all choir and musical programs. Essential responsibilities of this ¾ time position include choosing repertoire, conducting rehearsals, and nurturing the Cathedral Singers (45+ members, including 4 paid section leaders), Chancel Quartet, and Voices in Accord (16 member auditioned group) for Sunday worship and special concerts.
Qualifications include appropriate professional training and musical degree, excellent vocal and choral directing skills, and being well‑versed in sacred, classical, traditional and contemporary styles of music.
Salaried position working 25-29 Hours per week.
