Hiring for Art Teachers - As well as an apprentice or assistant Frame Technician

This is a part-time role to start, it is an on-site role based in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. As an Assistant Framer, shopkeeper, and art studio assistant, you will be responsible for designing and assembling custom picture frames, handling customer interactions to ensure they receive tailored solutions, and maintain the high-quality standards The Framery is known for. A significant part of the role involves working with various materials, tools, and techniques to craft frames that protect and showcase artwork or memorabilia.

As well as being a shop keeper, and a studio assistant.

This is a part-time position, and you will have flexibility to work with us to help us offer more classes. We are looking for an on-site Art Teacher at The Framery and Art Studio, located in Lawrenceburg, IN. The Art Teacher will be responsible for planning and leading diverse art classes and workshops for children and/or adults of various skill levels.

Day-to-day tasks include developing lesson plans, teaching various art techniques, and fostering individual creativity in a welcoming community environment.

• Experience in Framing and Picture Frames, including the ability to design and construct custom frames
• Skills in Woodworking and handling tools for cutting, assembling, and finishing
• Strong Customer Service skills to assist clients and provide tailored solutions
• Previous experience as a Framer or in a related field is preferred
• Attention to detail, creativity, and an appreciation for craftsmanship
• Ability to work on-site in Lawrenceburg, IN, and collaborate closely with a team
• General knowledge of art preservation techniques and materials is a plus
• Art background or passion of some kind
• Able to learn and be a team member

• Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development if working with our Kid Camps and our education series
• Experience in Leading, Teaching and Art Education, with strong interpersonal skills
• Expertise in Painting and other relevant artistic skills, interested in learning more
• Passion for fostering creativity and inspiring learners across a variety of ages
• Flexibility and adaptability to manage students with varying skill levels and learning styles
• Previous experience in art education for youth and adults is preferred
• A degree or certification in Art, Art Education, or a portfolio or related field experience is accepted
