Call for Artists: 2026 Exhibition Season – St. Luke’s UMC Art Gallery
Deadline: 06/30/2026
St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana invites artists to submit their work for consideration for our 2026 and 2027 gallery exhibition seasons. e’s United Methodist Church, we are an open community of Christians helping people find and give hope through Jesus Christ – regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, nationality, disability, or socioeconomic background. We are dedicated to uplifting the voices of women, people of color, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
Through art, we see reflections of God’s creativity, and it is a joy to celebrate that beauty through the work of local and regional artists. We welcome a wide range of artistic styles and mediums and are honored to provide space for artists to share their gifts with our congregation and the broader community.
Each exhibition is a solo show lasting approximately one month. Near the beginning of the exhibition, we host a Sunday artist reception, providing an opportunity for the congregation to meet the artist and engage more deeply with the work. Artists are warmly encouraged to invite friends and family.
Exhibiting artists are asked to provide a short artist statement (a brief paragraph about yourself and your work) to help viewers connect more meaningfully with the artwork.
Gallery SpecificationsThe gallery space includes:
- One 17.5-foot wall
- One 31-foot wall
- One 8-foot wall
Most artists display between 15–30 pieces, depending on size. We use hanging chains with adjustable hooks for installation.
