St. Jude Parish in Indianapolis is seeking a part-time Accompanist.
The Accompanist provides organ/piano accompaniment for liturgies and other special events at the parish. The Accompanist will also assist with choir/ensemble rehearsals, as requested, typically in preparation for Christmas, Holy Week, and any special events presented by the Music Ministry.
Candidate must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church and possess a willingness to foster the Church’s mission. Candidate must possess a working knowledge of the Roman Missal/Order of the Mass and demonstrate the technical capability to accompany a choir, ensemble, or cantor, on both the organ and the piano, during the celebration of the Mass.
In addition to capability on the organ and piano, vocal proficiency is preferred, with practical experience of 5+ years in a pastoral setting also preferred.
