Position Summary:

The ropes course attendants are responsible for ensuring guests enter, navigate, and exit the course in a fun and safe manner. They ensure that guests are safely harnessed to participate in the obstacle course. Ropes course attendants warmly welcome guests and proactively provide guidance to ensure the best experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Proactively greet guests, groups, and schools with a warm welcome.
  • Ensure group leaders have all necessary information for a safe, fun, and educational experience using passports.
  • Share accurate pig knowledge with guests and co-workers.
  • Enforce rules on the ropes course.
  • Encourage fun while discouraging unsafe practices.
  • Remove unruly participants after proper warnings.
  • Solve problems as they occur.
  • Follow procedures to open and close the ropes course, adhering to policies and SOPs.
  • Ensure all equipment is in working order.
  • Perform an emergency takedown (ETD) in under two minutes.
  • Communicate professionally and positively with guests and staff.
  • Manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions per SOPs and management directives.
  • Maintain organization of materials and company property.
  • Clean workspace during slow times or as needed.
  • Communicate with other departments regarding guest activities and needs.
  • Multitask and anticipate guest needs.
  • Suggest departmental improvements to management.
  • Engage in projects during idle times.
  • Lift moderately heavy objects as needed.
  • Demonstrate effective listening and communication skills.
  • Maintain integrity and ethical standards.
  • Possess moderate technical knowledge of company products and equipment.
  • Stay calm and solve problems during emergencies.
  • Work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Present a professional, outgoing, and polite demeanor and appearance.
  • Handle moderate activity levels and maneuver quickly on the course.
  • Manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Work well in a team and independently with some guidance.
  • Follow written instructions and procedures.
  • Organize tasks efficiently and complete projects timely.
  • Job Requirements:

    Must be at least 17 years old for certification and training.

    Experience and

    Education:

    High school diploma required (or currently enrolled). Some college experience preferred.
