Job Overview
We are hiring a Universal Banker (Bank Teller) at our 62nd & Allisonville location. Branch hours are Monday‑Friday 9:00‑5:00 and Saturday 9:00‑12:00. The role is a front‑line client ambassador responsible for delivering exceptional service and driving customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high‑quality service to clients in a friendly, positive, and professional manner.
- Establish rapport, identify client needs, recommend solutions, handle objections, and ask for business.
- Promote and advise on the bank’s products, services, and digital delivery channels.
- Perform teller transactions: accepting deposits, loan payments, verifying cash, endorsing checks, cashing checks within limits, issuing money orders and official checks, redeeming savings bonds, and balancing the cash drawer.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and timely completion of client transactions.
- Comply with BSA/AML/OFAC regulations, identify and report suspicious activity.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer business and manage branch cash machines, ATM, and vault.
- Assist associates with drawer balancing and error identification.
- Conduct client onboarding and outbound calling for quality conversations and sales opportunities.
- Participate in sales activities, promotional events, and volunteer initiatives.
- Maintain a professional appearance and clean work environment in accordance with the Dress Code Policy and Clean Desk Policy.
- Monitor and achieve individual, branch, and organizational goals.
- Mentor peers on tasks and assignments.
- Remain flexible to work evenings, weekends, and other branches as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of six months customer service or cash handling experience.
- Knowledge of PC software: MS Windows, Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Bookings, SharePoint, social media platforms, CSI NuPoint, IMM, Covalent, Power BI, Smartsheet, and other bank‑approved systems.
- Attention to detail, data entry, document sorting, and following logical instructions.
- Ability to assess currency authenticity, interact with business partners, and recommend client solutions.
- Consultative skills and ability to resolve client problems by listening and recommending solutions.
- Comfort with technology adoption, system conversions, and software rollouts.
- Experience training new associates as a Branch Teller Mentor is a plus.
