Responsibilities- Respond to internal and external customer questions via telephone and written correspondence regarding insurance benefits, provider contracts, eligibility, and claims.
- Analyze problems and provide information/solutions.
- Use PC/image station to obtain, extract, document information and track changes in the database.
- Document inquiry outcomes for accurate tracking and analysis.
- Develop and maintain positive customer relations and coordinate with various functions within the company.
- Research and analyze data to address operational challenges and customer service issues.
- Provide external and internal customers with requested information.
- Under supervision, make follow‑up telephone calls/email responses to routine customer questions.
- Use computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct outbound calls in the Zip Drug business area.
- Multi‑task by handling calls, texts, facsimiles, and electronic queues while taking notes and speaking to customers.
- Maintain focus during extended periods of sitting and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, empathy, persistence, and problem‑solving ability.
- High School diploma or equivalent; prior experience in an automated customer service environment or equivalent education/experience.
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Problem‑solving, facilitation and analytical skills.
- Ability to work any 8‑hour shift within the following hours of operation (PT, MST, CST, EST) and available to assist customers in multiple time zones.
- Open Monday through Friday (no weekends).
- Located within 50 miles or a 1‑hour commute to Indianapolis, IN.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules, including occasional overtime and onsite work at least once per week.
- Dental training: 4 weeks plus a 1‑week nesting period (total of 5 weeks). Schedule during training: 6:00–2:30 PM PT / 7:00 AM–3:30 MST / 8:00 AM–4:30 CST / 9:00 AM–5:30 EST.
- Post‑training, employees will be assigned a permanent 8‑hour shift based on business needs, attendance, performance and engagement.
- The shift may be any time within the operational hours listed above, irrespective of time zone.
