Service Advisor

Tom Wood Lexus, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, is looking for a full-time, top-performing individual to join our team as an Experienced Service Advisor. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional interpersonal skills, a strong technical aptitude, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. They should have a deep understanding of automotive systems and maintenance procedures to effectively communicate with both customers and technicians.

• Meet or exceed dealership objectives and goals for the service department.
• Advise customers about necessary services for routine maintenance.
• Fill out paperwork with correct customer information, including costs and payment methods.
• Schedule appointments and notify customers about any changes in appointment times, and obtain approvals for needed maintenance.
• Work with customers to identify problems, performing road tests and inspections as needed.
• Ensure each vehicle is paid in full before release.
• Notify dispatcher of incoming work and review repair orders to ensure work is completed and authorized.
• Ensure vehicles are parked in assigned areas, locked, and keys are marked and stored correctly.
• Handle telephone inquiries regarding appointments, work in process, and complaints; inform service manager of potential problems or upset guests.

• Previous service advisor experience in a luxury dealership preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional demeanor at all times and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Good organizational and computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history required.
