Role PurposeThe Customer Service Agent will be responsible for checking in passengers at the ticket counter and gates, verifying documentation, assigning seats, providing gate information, checking baggage, and assisting passengers with issues in the airport. The agent must adhere to Menzies Aviation uniform guidelines and codes of conduct.
Responsibilities- Assist passengers with check‑ins, verification, gate information, baggage claims and any other passenger issues in the airport.
- Interpret identification labels and baggage/cargo routing tags.
- Host self‑service kiosks.
- Ensure that all work areas are organized and functional (check‑in, lobby, gate, baggage).
- Keep a positive attitude while offering assistance.
- Ensure safe and secure operations.
- Comfortably lift/move up to 70lbs of cargo and baggage.
- Perform some bending, stretching, pushing & pulling as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a current valid US driver’s license.
- Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
- Must pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs seal.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Intermediate computer skills required.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time at the ticket counter and gate check‑in areas.
- Must be flexible and available for variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Prior customer service experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships.
Pay: $18 per hour. Part‑time schedule up to 24 hours per week. Requires open availability, including weekends. Must be able to travel to Seattle, Washington for 9 consecutive days of training if selected.
