Overview
This internship is only available to high school students in NE Indiana.
Responsibilities
* Learn AutoCAD fundamentals to prepare deck and joist layouts
* Help promote philanthropy activities to develop communication skills
* Prepare deck and joist layout plans and sections using AutoCAD
* Prepare RFI's and coordinate project details with customers, steel detailers, engineers and others
* Calculate joist and girder loading based on design loading provided on contract documents
* Handle multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced, production driven environment
* Meet schedules for assigned projects
* Other duties as necessary
Qualifications
* Candidates should have an interest in a career where they'll utilize 2D/3D Drafting & Modeling Software
* Candidates must be enrolled in a high school entering their senior year
* Must possess skills to solve Algebra problems
* Preferred cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.7
