Automotive Styling Designer (CAS & Class-A Surfacing)

We are seeking a highly creative and technically skilled Automotive Styling Designer with strong expertise in concept sketching, CAS (Computer Aided Styling) modelling, and Class-A surfacing using Autodesk Alias
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming styling concepts into production-feasible digital models while preserving the original design intent throughout the vehicle development process. The role requires close collaboration with styling, engineering, and product development teams from concept creation through final Class-A surface release.

• Develop creative 2D and 3D automotive concept sketches to explore styling themes, proportions, and vehicle form.
• Create innovative exterior and interior styling concepts aligned with product design objectives.
• Communicate design ideas effectively through digital sketches, renderings, presentations, and visualization techniques.
• Collaborate with styling leads to refine design concepts and evolve styling directions throughout the development lifecycle.
• Build high-quality CAS (Computer Aided Styling) models and Class-A surfaces using Autodesk Alias

• Convert concept sketches and clay scan data into accurate digital surface models.
• Perform surface refinement, continuity validation (
  G0, G1, G2, and G3
  ), and reflection/highlight quality analysis.
• Develop production-feasible Class-A surfaces while maintaining styling intent and engineering requirements.
• Work closely with styling designers, engineering teams, and product development groups to deliver high-quality digital models.
• Ensure all digital surfaces satisfy manufacturing feasibility, tooling requirements, and engineering constraints.
• Participate in design reviews, provide technical modeling recommendations, and manage multiple design iterations within project timelines.

• Strong expertise in Autodesk Alias for CAS Modeling and Class-A Surfacing.
• Experience creating high-quality CAS models and production-ready Class-A surfaces.
• Solid understanding of surface continuity (G0, G1, G2, and G3).
• Experience with Patch Layout and advanced surface construction techniques.
• Knowledge of reflection analysis
  , highlight quality evaluation, and surface fairness.
• Understanding of tooling feasibility
  , manufacturing processes, and engineering constraints.
• Excellent automotive sketching skills (hand sketches and digital sketching).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and design iterations in a fast-paced automotive development environment.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design
  , Transportation Design
  , or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in Automotive Styling
