R&D Textile Pattern Designer (Manufacturing)

Knu, LLC is currently looking for qualified individual interested in the Textile Pattern Designer for our R&D team, located in Ferdinand Indiana.

Textile Pattern Designer

Reports to:

R&D Manager

Job Summary:

Participate in new product introductions and process changes. Ensure that Design and Development outputs are accurate and communicated for the sewing and cutting processes.

• Requires learning & operating the Gerber system
• Ability to Sew on a variety of sewing machines.
• Creates and modifies the individual fabric parts that make up a product & then places them into markers (cutting patterns).
• Assists R&D Technicians with creating new models and keeping current models updated.
• Communicate with the manufacturing group regarding the sewing and cutting needs for new products, specials, and product changes.
• Advise Quality Department of new sewing procedures.
• Maintaining file storage.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Possess strong analytical capabilities, effective problem solving and decision-making skills
• Possess exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
• Has knowledge and ability to sew on a variety of sewing machines.
• Requires learning and operating the Gerber Cut Planning system.
• Ability to work independently as well as dealing with multiple projects.
• Ability to meet project deadlines.
• Must have 3+ years of sewing experience
• Ability to use and understand CAD is a plus

High school or equivalent
