Experienced Hospice Medical Director position in Indiana
Indiana University Health Medical Group in partnership with Redcrest Hospice provides compassionate, family-centered care to those with life-limiting illnesses. We are looking for a physician leader to serve as Medical Director of Hospice services in a 39-county service area. This Physician will lead efforts across the system to establish standardized consistent work that meets clinical and regulatory requirements. IU Health Hospice has created a structure to provide on-site Physician leadership at the regional level while maintaining consistent high-quality work across the IU Health system.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with hospice and homecare administration on system-wide programs, including pharmaceutical sourcing, employee engagement, team-building, and budget creation/management.
- Oversee 3 physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
- Lead quality improvement initiatives across the system.
- Maintain contractual relationships with all IU Health hospitals for in-patient hospice care.
- Share responsibility for 4 regional IDG (Indiana District Group) hospice operations.
- Required:
Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. - Preferred:
Hospice Medical Director experience; fellowship training in Hospice/Palliative Care is preferred but not required. - Required licensure:
Active Indiana medical license
