Pediatrician, Riley Children's Health in Indianpolis
The Riley Children's Health, part of IU Health Medical Group (IUHMG) and Indiana University Medical School (IUSM), Child Protection Program is seeking a Child Abuse Pediatrician to join our expert team of board-certified providers to provide evidence-based consultation in cases of suspected child maltreatment. With expertise unmatched in Indiana, the Division offers multidisciplinary clinical services and education to improve the evaluation and care of maltreated children.
Our team offers various services including the evaluation of suspected child abuse/neglect victims, professional consultation for healthcare providers, child protection services, law enforcement and other professionals, crisis counseling for families, expert testimony in legal settings when required, and professional education as the home to one of the few ACGME-accredited child protection fellowship programs in the nation. Additionally, there are a number of specialized child protection programs offered including The Pediatric Center of Hope, Foster Care Bridge Clinic, and Pediatric Evaluation and Diagnostic Services (PEDS) Program.
- Staffing PEDS cases, record review, court testimony, consultative services
- Outpatient clinic, and Inpatient consultations (no long term follow-up care)
- Shared call coverage
- Collegial and supportive Division empowering providers to act and care for patients with ownership;engagement with training, medical education, and advocacy is supported and encouraged.
- Faculty appointment through IUSMwith the expectation of student and trainee educational activities and scholarly output
- Dual Employment through IUHMG and IUSM: benefits offered through IUSM
- Special interest in patient population is preferred but not required
- Completion of Pediatric Residency and American board certification, required
- Completion of Child Abuse Pediatrics Fellowship and BC/BE in child abuse pediatrics, required
- New graduates and experienced physicians are encouraged to apply
- Physician MD/DO licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure
