We are seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 78-day assignment in Indiana, beginning Dec 4, 2026. This role involves working 12-hour shifts, providing comprehensive care for acute conditions such as respiratory and gastrointestinal issues, various infections, and minor injuries like sprains, cuts, and simple fractures. The ideal candidate will be adept at performing basic diagnostic procedures including X-rays and lab tests.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive urgent care services to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.
• Diagnose and treat respiratory infections, including colds, flu, bronchitis, sinus infections, and sore throats.
• Manage gastrointestinal issues such as mild stomach viruses, food poisoning, and dehydration from vomiting or diarrhea.
• Address various infections including urinary tract infections (UTIs), ear infections, and pink eye.
• Evaluate and treat skin concerns like minor rashes, insect bites, and localized skin infections.
• Assess and manage sprains and strains, mild to moderate joint or muscle injuries.
• Provide care for minor cuts that may need stitches or staples.
• Treat minor or small-area first- and second-degree burns.
• Manage simple, non-displaced fractures or broken fingers and toes.
• Order and interpret basic imaging such as X-rays for sprains or simple breaks.
• Perform rapid lab tests for strep, flu, COVID-19, or basic urine tests.
• Administer treatments including tetanus shots, basic wound care, and prescription medications.
