IU Health Hip Preservation Surgeon Located in Indianapolis, Indiana

The Department of Orthopaedics at Indiana University Health is seeking a full-time BE/BC fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in hip arthroscopy and hip preservation. This position will be located in Indianapolis, Indiana

This is an excellent opportunity to join the largest healthcare provider in the state of Indiana. Our extensive referral system supports a robust existing hip preservation practice in need of an additional provider. The applicant must have a strong interest in hip arthroscopy. Additional interest in realignment osteotomies (periacetabular osteotomy and proximal femoral osteotomy), open hip preservation, and primary total hip arthroplasty for failed hip preservation are preferred.

The applicant will join the academic division of the orthopedic service line and will be a member of the department’s clinical teaching faculty. The applicant will work regularly with orthopaedic surgery residents as well as with fellows.

The qualified candidate will be a full-time faculty member of IU Health Department of Orthopaedics and hold an academic rank within Indiana University School of Medicine.

What we’re seeking:
  • Medical degree – MD, DO, or foreign equivalent
  • BE/BC in Orthopaedics
  • Fellowship training in Sports Medicine with second fellowship or advanced training in hip preservation is preferred. Fellowship training in trauma or arthroplasty with a second fellowship or advanced training in hip preservation will also be considered.
  • Excellent patient care abilities and interest in teaching as well as participation in clinical research
