Description
. This on-site, contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality women's health care in a collaborative and dynamic clinical environment.
As a Locum Ob/Gyn, you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive care to patients, managing both routine and complex cases, and ensuring continuity of care. You will work alongside a team of experienced healthcare professionals committed to excellence and patient-centered outcomes. This associate-level contract role is ideal for a physician seeking flexibility and meaningful impact within a supportive practice.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients in an on-site clinical setting.
- Conduct routine examinations, prenatal care, and postnatal care.
- Diagnose and treat conditions related to the female reproductive system.
- Perform surgical procedures including cesarean sections, hysterectomies, and other gynecologic surgeries as required.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as ultrasounds, lab work, and imaging studies.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with nursing and support staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with practice policies and regulations.
- Counsel patients on preventive health measures, family planning, and reproductive health.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide on-call coverage as scheduled.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review complex cases and improve care quality.
- Adhere to all medical, ethical, and legal standards of practice.
- Support the training and supervision of residents, medical students, and other healthcare professionals when applicable.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction (Tipton area).
- Associate-level experience in obstetrics and gynecology, with demonstrated clinical competency.
- Strong knowledge of current obstetric and gynecologic practices, procedures, and protocols.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations, including emergency deliveries and surgical complications.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Malpractice insurance coverage (or ability to obtain as a locum tenens physician).
- Must be board-eligible or board-certified

Certifications:
BLS
- Flexibility to work on a contract basis with variable scheduling as needed.
- Schedule:
Tuesday and/or Wednesday, 8a-5p - No call requirement
- Setting:
Outpatient - Daily Volume: 16-18 patients
- Required Procedures: IUD/Nexplanon insertion/removal, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, and NST evaluation
- EMR:
Cerner - Paid travel & expenses
