We are seeking a Locum Physician to provide comprehensive outpatient medical care focused on continuity of care, preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and patient wellness. This role is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a variety of health conditions while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
This is a 60-day locum assignment located in Indianapolis, IN
, with the potential for future opportunities, although permanent conversion is not guaranteed.
- Provide comprehensive outpatient medical care and treatment
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions
- Conduct patient evaluations and maintain detailed medical histories and records
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
- Focus on preventive care, wellness, and disease prevention initiatives
- Educate patients on treatment options, health conditions, and healthy lifestyle practices
- Coordinate care and refer patients to specialists when appropriate
- Review diagnostic results and incorporate findings into care plans
- Collaborate with clinical staff and healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care
- Support initiatives designed to improve patient outcomes and patient experiences
- Exercise independent clinical judgment in managing complex patient cases
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the applicable state of practice Board Certification in:
Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine - Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
- Strong knowledge of outpatient and primary care medicine
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage complex patient care situations
- Completion of required Tuberculosis (TB) screening for patient-facing healthcare roles
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and improving patient experiences
- Internal Medicine specialty training.
- Experience in preventive care, value-based care, or population health management.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations.
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
