JOB DETAILS Position Purpose / Description

The Teacher is responsible for teaching groups of students in a classroom setting, based on a curriculum and supported by instructional materials. The Teacher is responsible for developing daily lesson plans to ensure that the Teacher covers the curricular content in a timely manner throughout the semester or school year. The Teacher uses various instructional methods and techniques to meet the unique needs of the individual students and to assess their learning;

the Teacher modifies instruction, re‑teaches, and remediates to ensure student success.

Essential Functions Instructional & Student Support
  • Support the development and implementation of high‑quality, individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals.
  • Monitor student progress and assist teachers in using data to inform instructional decisions.
  • Promote inclusive practices and access to the general education curriculum.
  • Support behavior intervention planning and implementation as needed.
IEP & Compliance Oversight
  • Ensure compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district policies.
  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs.
  • Review documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and quality.
Additional Duties
  • Maintains accurate records, documentation, and reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provides consultation, training, and resources to school staff and families.
  • Utilizes best practices, evidence‑based interventions, and licensure requirements.

  • Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and inclusive instructional practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a school setting.
  • Problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills.
