SUMMARY:
The Title I Elementary Teacher provides targeted instructional support to students who are at risk of not meeting grade-level academic standards, particularly in reading and mathematics. This role focuses on identifying academic needs, delivering supplemental interventions, and collaborating with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success in alignment with Title I federal program guidelines.
EDUCATION/LICENSE/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Education
* Hold a valid Indiana Teacher's License
* Literacy Endorsement or experience in Reading or Special Education preferred
* Knowledge of Title I programming and intervention strategies strongly preferred
* Any additional qualifications as required by the Board or State of Indiana
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties as assigned.
* Plan and deliver supplemental instruction to students in small groups or one-on-one settings.
* Use data-driven decision-making to identify students eligible for Title I services and to monitor progress.
* Collaborate with classroom teachers to align interventions with the core curriculum.
* Assist in developing and implementing school-wide instructional strategies (based on The New Art and Science of Teaching) and intervention plans.
* Participate in the development and review of school improvement plans related to Title I services.
* Provide regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and available support.
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of student achievement, interventions, and program compliance.
* Support family engagement initiatives and events connected to Title I programs.
* Administer and interpret results from formative and summative assessments.
* Use educational technology and tools to enhance student learning.
* Participate in Title I meetings, training, and compliance activities as required.
* Ensure services comply with federal, state, and district Title I requirements and regulations.
* Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
* Apply appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary.
* Perform certain pastoral duties, including student support, counseling students with academic issues, and providing student encouragement.
* Participate in department and school meetings and parent meetings.

LANGUAGE
SKILLS:
* Skilled in reading and interpreting educational literature, assessment data, and instructional plans.
* Effective communication with administrators, colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
* Proficient in writing clear reports, correspondence, and documentation of student progress.
MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS:
* Ability to analyze and interpret academic performance data, including standardized test results and progress monitoring information.
* Mathematical reasoning application skills in instructional planning and problem-solving.
REASONING ABILITY:
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt instruction based on student needs.
* Ability to interpret assessment data and modify interventions accordingly.
OTHER

* Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based instructional strategies and academic interventions.
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Ability to establish effective relationships with students, staff, and families.
* Flexibility and initiative in working across various classrooms and instructional settings.
* Knowledge of Title I regulations and the ability to maintain compliance with documentation and program expectations.
