In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging and effective lesson plans that ignite a love of science in our high school students. You will teach both Integrated Chemistry Physics (ICP) and Chemistry courses, fostering a deep understanding of fundamental scientific concepts. This is a great opportunity for a qualified candidate to make a positive impact on young minds and inspire the next generation of scientists.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver innovative lesson plans that meet state and national science standards for ICP and Chemistry.
- Conduct safe and engaging laboratory experiments, ensuring students understand and follow all safety protocols.
- Utilize a variety of instructional methods, including lectures, discussions, activities, and technology integration.
- Create and administer assessments to measure student learning and progress.
- Provide individualized support and differentiation for students with diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the science department to ensure curriculum alignment and professional development.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with students, parents, and guardians.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field.
- Valid state teaching license for Chemistry, Physics or Physical Science.
- Strong knowledge of ICP and Chemistry concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for science and a commitment to student success.
