Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging and effective lesson plans that ignite a love of science in our high school students. You will teach both Integrated Chemistry Physics (ICP) and Chemistry courses, fostering a deep understanding of fundamental scientific concepts. This is a great opportunity for a qualified candidate to make a positive impact on young minds and inspire the next generation of scientists.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver innovative lesson plans that meet state and national science standards for ICP and Chemistry.
  • Conduct safe and engaging laboratory experiments, ensuring students understand and follow all safety protocols.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional methods, including lectures, discussions, activities, and technology integration.
  • Create and administer assessments to measure student learning and progress.
  • Provide individualized support and differentiation for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the science department to ensure curriculum alignment and professional development.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with students, parents, and guardians.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field.
  • Valid state teaching license for Chemistry, Physics or Physical Science.
  • Strong knowledge of ICP and Chemistry concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passion for science and a commitment to student success.

Contract Days: 184 Days
